Joan Konner is Professor Emerita and Dean Emerita of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She is a longtime award-winning television producer, television executive, writer and editor. She has produced more than 50 documentaries and many television series, and is the recipient of 16 Emmy Awards, the Peabody and the Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award for her producing and writing. Her PBS documentary, She Says/Women in News, won a 2002 Emmy Award. She executive produced and wrote the documentary, The Mystery of Love, which aired on PBS in 2006. She also conceived and edited the best-selling book, The Atheist’s Bible.
