Joann McPike

Joann McPike is Founder of THINK Global School, an independent non-profit traveling boarding school that gives students from around the world the opportunity to study in 12 countries during a four-year high school experience. Her vision has created a global learning environment built on the foundation of empathy, diversity, resilience and self-reflection. Joann serves on the Board of Directors for the school and guides the continual success of students from over 20 countries.

In addition to her contributions to 21st century education, Joann is a world-traveling photographer. A compilation of her work was published in 2008 under the title THINK. With THINK, Joann combines provocative imagery and words to reveal that multiple layers of meaning can be found in every moment. In 2010, an outdoor photo display featuring Joann’s art was created to commemorate THINK and the formation of THINK Global School. This display appeared in Stockholm, Sweden and Sydney, Australia.

Educational philanthropy, photography, and experiencing different cultures are three passions in Joann’s life. She currently resides in the Bahamas and is the proud mother of a 16-year-old son.
