She is the author/editor of the award-winning bestseller Love Her, Love Her Not: The Hillary Paradox, an anthology that explores the question of why so many Americans, especially women, have such complicated and conflicting feelings when it comes to one of the most well-known and admired women in the world — Hillary Rodham Clinton. A new media expert and authority on the political involvement of women and mothers, Joanne contributes political commentary and analysis to a variety of outlets, including MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, ABC’s Good Morning America, XM Radio POTUS, Al Jazeera America, BBC Radio, and more. Joanne is also the author of the Amazon bestselling book Mothers of Intention: How Women & Social Media are Revolutionizing Politics in America, the first book to examine the phenomenon of the rise of women in social media, how they’ve used online tools for change and the uphill battle women still face in the world of politics and activism. Joanne is a sought after speaker on a variety of topics that touch on the political and social activism of women, including how to become a political though leader through opinion commentary, and she has advised a variety of clients on best practices in connecting with women online. She is on the board of trustees of the Association of Opinion Journalists. Joanne holds a degree in political science, as well as a law degree, and practiced law for many years, both in the private and public sectors. Prior to her career as a lawyer, she was an award-winning broadcast journalist in a variety of local markets. She lives in the shadow of the nation’s capital with her husband and teenage daughter.
