John Amato

Founder and publisher, and former board member of the LA Press Club

John Amato, graduated Hunter College with a BM in Music performance and studied with the late jazz legend Milt Hinton and the principle flutist from the NYC Ballet, Andrew Loyla. He's a professional musician who played or recorded with Duran Duran, Ringo Starr, The Knack, Ronnie Montrose, Glenn Hughes, John Taylor and many more. In Sept., 2004, he started a website called that became the first website to feature audio and video files that revolutionized the political world and the Internet. C&L won many web awards including being named in 2009 by Time Magazine as one of the TOP 25 website of the year. He is a former board member of the L.A. Press Club as well.
