John Atlas is a writer and retired lawyer whose work includes SEEDS OF CHANGE. The Story of Acorn, America's Most Controversial Anti-Poverty Community Group (Vanderbilt University Press 2010): Saving Affordable Housing (Ford Foundation, 1977). Consultant to the documentary ACORN and the Firestorm! debuting at the Tribeca Film Institute in New York on April 23rd. President and a Founder of NHI/Shelterforce Magazine, Montclair, NJ, and VP of Pandora Education Films, Inc He was the Executive Director of Passaic County Legal Aid in NJ, a radio talk-show host, and a community organizer. His work has appeared in numerous publications including, The Huffington Post, The Newark Star Ledger, The New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Tikkun, The Nation, Dissent and Social Policy. He is an alumnus of Boston University Law School, George Washington Law Center and Columbia University.
