Author, 'Beyond the First Draft'
John Casey is the author of Spartina (National Book Award), An American Romance, Testimony and Demeanor, Supper at the Black Pearl, The Half-life of Happiness, Room for Improvement, and Beyond the First Draft, a book of essays on the art of fiction. He has also translated two books from Italian. He was educated at Harvard College, Harvard Law School and the University of Iowa. He is the literary executor of the estate of Breece Pancake.
