John H. Thomas

Ordained UCC minister with a forty year career in local and national UCC ministries, including General Minister and President, 1999 to 2009.

John Thomas is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ. He has served as a pastor in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, the denomination's ecumenical officer and, from 1999 to 2009 was General Minister and President. He currently teaches at Chicago Theological Seminary. He is a native of Connecticut and a graduate of Gettysburg College and Yale Divinity School. Thomas has served on the Executive Board of the National Council of the Churches of Christ, USA and on the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches.
