John La Puma M.D. is a board-certified internist and a professionally trained chef. His new book is <a href="" target="_hplink">REFUEL</a>® (Crown/Harmony, 2014), a simple, effective 24 day eating and nutrition plan to boost men’s testosterone drug-free, and to help women who want to help a man get healthy and stay healthy, without diet or performance enhancing drugs.<br /> <br /> Co-founder of ChefMD®, inventor of, and director of <a href="" target="_hplink">CHEF Clinic</a>®. Dr. La Puma is a NY Times best-selling author twice, for <em>ChefMD’s Big Book of Culinary Medicine </em>(Crown, 2008) and <em>RealAge Diet</em> (HarperCollins, 2001). He wrote the latter with Michael Roizen, M.D, with whom he taught the first cooking and nutrition course in a U.S. medical school, at SUNY-Upstate. <br /> <br /> Dr. La Puma also wrote the recipes for Dr. Oz‘ New York Times #1 <em>YOU the Owner’s Manual</em>; has written and hosted two PBS Specials; and co-hosted the national cable weekly series Health Corner for Lifetime TV for over 100 episodes, with Leeza Gibbons and Joan Lunden.
