John Neffinger

Author, Compelling People and President, the Franklin Forum

John Neffinger prepares speakers for high-stakes public appearances. He is currently President of the Franklin Forum PAC, which provides coaching and messaging support to progressive candidates, and is on the faculty at both Columbia and Georgetown Universities. John is also the co-author of Compelling People: The Hidden Qualities That Make Us Influential, which has been translated into 11 languages. John was a founding partner of KNP Communications, where he has coached hundreds of clients, including national political figures, television personalities, and corporate executives. John has worked with more than 100 candidates for Federal and state-wide office over the past five election cycles, and his candidate work is featured in a Harvard Business School success case. John lectures regularly at Harvard Business School, and has been featured on The CBS Evening News, CBS Sunday Morning, Hardball with Chris Matthews, Fox News and NPR, as well as in The Washington Post, New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. John holds honors degrees from Harvard College and Columbia Law School.
