John Sauer works as Senior Technical Advisor, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene at PSI. Before joining PSI, John was Head of External Relations, International Program and a Sanitation Advisor at Water For People
Previously, John was Communications Director for Water Advocates in Washington, DC, implementing communications strategies to increase US support and action - in both the private and public sectors - for worldwide access to safe, affordable, and sustainable drinking water and adequate sanitation.
John has worked as a program manager with several international humanitarian organizations over the last 25 years. His responsibilities ranged from managing water and sanitation projects in Uganda to developing an emergency aid program for street children in St. Petersburg, Russia.
John graduated from Fordham University in 1992 and also holds a Master's degree in International and Intercultural Management from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT.
