A lifelong resident of the rural South, Johnny C. Sain is an award-winning writer focusing on nature, conservation and culture. The majority of his writing spotlights connections between place and people -- hunting, fishing, gardening rural traditions and interesting subcultures tied to an intimate connection to the land.
Johnny has been published in several regional and national publications, provided historical narrative for an Arkansas Tech University research project about Ozark food culture, and currently edits and writes for ABOUT the River Valley Magazine. Upcoming projects include a documentary video focused on the Buffalo River and Newton County Arkansas.
