John Wellington Ennis is a filmmaker, activist, and father. His previous films are "PAY 2 PLAY: Democracy’s High Stakes" about money in politics, "FREE FOR ALL! One Dude’s Quest to Save Our Elections" about combating voter suppression, and the Upright Citizens Brigade‘s "Wild Girls Gone" starring Amy Poehler. Ennis has written for The Huffington Post, The Onion, and Melrose & Fairfax. He is a co-founder of Video the Vote, a citizen journalism project covering election problems, and served as executive director and board member of Public Interest Pictures. He has produced and directed Reality TV for the U.S. and U.K. His New York cable access show "Toolz of the New School" was a cult hit in the Giuliani era, represented by ICM, and developed by Howard Stern Productions. He attended the film schools at New York University and University of Southern California and has taught documentary filmmaking at UCLA Extension. He hosts Proper Propaganda, a hip hop and politics show on Radio Free Brooklyn.
