Jon Summers

President of Summers Strategies, Jon leverages his 20 years of unmatched experience to design proactive, innovative, and effective communications strategies. A testament to his experience, early in his career he helped to revitalize the communications efforts of both the Nevada Democratic Party and the Democratic Governors Association. Soon after Jon was tapped to serve as Communications Director for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, as well as lead communications efforts in Reid’s against-all-odds 2010 reelection campaign. An experience that has uniquely equipped him with an unmatched understanding of the media landscape and what it takes to cut through the clutter to make your voice heard. Since leaving the Senate, Jon has built a variety of campaigns and developed strategic messaging for a number of trade associations, nonprofits, corporation, elected officials and political candidates. Jon, his husband Kyle and their son Alexander reside in Washington, DC.
