Jora is a civil rights advocate and an attorney specializing in employment/labor law and has worked for over 20 years to advance social justice issues affecting marginalized populations. She has served as the Managing Attorney for Worksafe since 2010 where she has been instrumental in directing Worksafe’s legal work with regard to advocating for protective worker health and safety laws, policies, regulations and standards; effective remedies for injured workers; stronger government enforcement; and increased capacity of worker leaders, worker advocates, and legal aid organizations to help vulnerable workers in California. In addition, Ms.Trang participates in national coalitions and efforts to ensure stronger protections for workers nation-wide. Prior to joining Worksafe, Ms.Trang was the Senior Staff Attorney at Equal Rights Advocates (ERA) where she was a part of the litigation team for Dukes v. Walmart and Mansourian v. UC Regents. She served as ERA’s Campaign Leader for their Marginalized Women Worker Campaign.
