Jordan Roter

After writing and performing sketch comedy at Brown University, Jordan Roter moved out to Los Angeles in 1999 to pursue her life-long on-camera dreams. After those dreams were quickly and mercilessly burned to the ground, she decided to focus on a [slightly] less soul-crushing career as a writer.

Roter's first Y-A novel, Girl in Development, was published by Dutton in 2006. She then adapted her second Y-A novel, Camp Rules, as a feature film for Paramount, where it’s still in active development.

Among Roter’s other feature projects is her adaptation of the book of short storiesLet It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle for Fake Empire/Paramount, and her adaptation of the German romantic comedy feature Single By Contract, which she is producing with Barry Josephson for Red Crown.

A TV fanatic at heart, Roter sold her first hour-long dramedy pilot, The Eulogist, to NBC with Dark Toy producing.

Most recently, Roter is adapting the Danish romantic comedy feature film The Teardown for Kamala Films.
