José Valim is co-founder of Plataformatec, creator of the Elixir programming language and member of the Rails Core Team. He graduated in Engineering from the São Paulo University, Brazil and has a Master of Science from Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He is an active member of the Open Source community and speaks at conferences around the world.
