Juan C. Felix, M.D., is internationally renowned as an expert in gynecologic pathology and cytology. With more than 30 years’ experience, he currently serves as Professor and Vice-Chair of Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is widely known for his leadership of international programs to improve women’s health, having developed novel cancer screening paradigms in underserved regions of South America. Dr. Felix has authored over 120 scientific publications, including peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and abstracts, his research interests include detection and treatment of cervical cancer, pathogenesis of HPV, endometrial cancer and precursor lesions and the role of viral infections in placental pathology.
