Berlin born photographer who specialises in documentary projects. Julia likes to explore the lives of her subjects and allow them to tell their own stories, giving her audience a personal context in which to view her work. Her photography series are often made up of a combination of portraits and investigative images. Julia's most prominent collection of work is her Proud Women of Africa project which documents the lives of strong women she has met during her travels through Africa. Julia writes this blog together with Nick Schonfeld, but, unless stated otherwise, any use of the pronoun "I" refers to her experiences.
