Founder of Project Sleep, Narcolepsy Spokesperson & Author

Julie Flygare, JD is the founder of Project Sleep, a national narcolepsy spokesperson and award-winning author diagnosed with narcolepsy with cataplexy in 2007. She received her B.A. from Brown University in 2005 and her J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2009. In 2012, Julie published “Wide Awake and Dreaming: A Memoir of Narcolepsy,” which won First Prize in the San Francisco Book Festival Biography/Autobiography Contest 2013.

Julie is the creator of the first-ever narcolepsy app and the international NARCOLEPSY: NOT ALONE campaign. In 2014, Julie won WEGO Health’s Geek Health Activist Award. She currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
