John Zipperer is vice president of media & editorial at The Commonwealth Club of California and the producer and host of Week to Week, a lively news discussion program open to the public. Week to Week was born out of a desire to engage people in conversations about current affairs without the posturing and demonization so prevalent in our public discourse. That, and a fun news quiz. Before coming to The Commonwealth Club, John was executive editor of Internet World magazine, and he also held senior editorial positions with Hanley Wood and the CCIM Institute. A Wisconsin native, he has been working in the media since editing his high school paper. His media career survived his high school chemistry teacher calling him a communist (he wasn't), and he has since worked in print and online in business and commercial media outlets.
