Kaile Shilling

Coalition Director of the Violence Prevention Coalition of Greater LA

Kaile Shilling is the Coalition Director Of the Violence Prevention Coalition of Greater Los Angeles. Over the past twenty-two years, the Violence Prevention Coalition has been at the forefront of the movement to frame violence as an issue of public health, rather than criminal justice. The VPC recognizes that large-scale social change requires broad cross-sector collaboration and coordination. By connecting and educating our members and partners, by facilitating peer knowledge exchange and sharing on-the-ground practices, we help create a common agenda for diverse agencies to change cultural norms around violence, coordinate individual organizational efforts, and promote violence prevention on a systemic level.

She holds a Master's Degree in Theological Studies from Loyola Marymount University, and Bachelor's in Social Anthropology from Harvard University.

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and children.
