Kara Bunde-Dunn

She helps world-class companies identify, select and develop the best talent; recognizing that people are the only sustainable resource.

Kara Bunde-Dunn joined Talent Plus in 2007 and serves as a Director of Client Engagement. She helps organizations understand the importance of identifying and developing people’s natural abilities. Bunde-Dunn has traveled extensively throughout the world which has significantly impacted her mission to help world-class companies identify, select and develop the best talent; recognizing that people are the only sustainable resource. As the Director of Client Engagement, Bunde-Dunn oversees client partnerships across hospitality, health care, retail and manufacturing. Bunde-Dunn has also served as the Director of Client Service Teams and as a senior business consultant where she strategically lead specific client partnerships. Prior to that Bunde-Dunn served as an implementation consultant where she obtained certifications on 13 different structured interviews. As an implementation consultant Bunde-Dunn conducted training to administer The Science of Talent ® for client partners. She is actively involved with the JDRF Heartland Chapter and currently serves as Board President.

Bunde-Dunn graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in social studies education. While attending Gustavus Adolphus, Bunde-Dunn studied global economics and taught in a variety of schools in India. She also taught for a semester at Paraparaumu College in Paraparaumu, New Zealand. She earned her master’s in educational administration from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Her undergraduate and graduate work also focused on cognitive psychology, higher order thinking skills and actively engaging individuals in the learning process.

Before joining Talent Plus, was a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network working with clients on personal finance planning, estate planning, business-succession planning and strategic employee benefits. She was the director of their College Development Program, recipient of the Bronze Sales Award and was a member of the JDRF Procurement Committee, Young Professionals Group, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Business and Professional Women’s Association, a mentor and tutor for area students and part of the Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.

Prior to that, Bunde-Dunn spent five years as a social studies teacher in the Nebraska Public Schools System and coached a girl’s basketball team that qualified for the State Tournament, as well as a team that qualified for the state mock trial competition four consecutive years. Her efforts in education were recognized with grants and a Teacher of the Year award.

Bunde-Dunn was born and raised in Mankato, Minn. and currently resides in Lincoln, Nebr.
