Karen Hunter

Karen Hunter is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, professor and publisher. She is also co-author of numerous New York Times bestsellers, including Ladies First with Queen Latifah, I Make My Own Rules with LL Cool J, On the Down Low with JL King, and Wendy's Got the Heat with Wendy Williams.

As a head of Karen Hunter Publishing (KHP), an imprint with Simon & Schuster, Karen has published No. 1 New York Times bestseller True You by pop icon Janet Jackson, New York Times bestselling Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian by Kris Jenner, and New York Times bestselling Mama Dearest by the late E. Lynn Harris. In 2014, KHP released My Country ‘Tis Of Thee by Congressman Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, Rebels by Kendall and Kylie Jenner and a cookbook with their mom, Kris Jenner.

Karen, a New Jersey native and Drew University graduate, is also a full-time professor and Distinguished Lecturer in the Film & Media Department at Hunter College.
