<br /> Karl Brauer is the editor in chief and CEO of Total Car Score (, a new car research site that gives car shoppers and enthusiasts a straightforward research tool for finding the best models. Previously, Karl was the editor in chief of, and was among the first Internet-based journalists to cover the auto industry.<br /> <br /> Total Car Score provides the first and only comprehensive "industry assessment" of a vehicle by taking into account every authoritative automotive resource and combining those ratings into a single Total Car Score.<br /> <br /> Karl joined in 1998 after stints at Hot Rod and Super Street magazines. Under his leadership, Karl helped grow traffic at from one million monthly visitors to 14 million monthly visitors. He was the first Internet-based automotive journalist invited to join the 50-person jury for the North American Car and Truck of the Year (NACTOY) in 2003.
