Karl Giberson

Professor of Science & Religion at Stonehill College

Karl Giberson is a leading scholar of science & religion, a professor at Stonehill College, and a widely published author of non-fiction with eleven books and hundreds of articles. He writes trade, rather than scholarly books, and his writing has received numerous recognitions. His book Saving Darwin, with HarperOne, was recognized by the Washington Post Book World as one of the “Best Books of 2008.” The freshman writing anthology, What Matters in America, includes one of his essays as a model for students to emulate. A full chapter—on the religious dimension of racism—from his book Saving the Original Sinner with Beacon Press was published by Salon.com and received over 8000 facebook shares. His co-authored book, The Anointed, was published under the Belknap imprint of Harvard University Press. His book with Oxford University Press, The Oracles of Science, was published in Spanish, Italian and Polish. His work has also appeared in the NY Times, USA Today, The Guardian, The Daily Beast, The Huffington Post, and many other outlets.
