Karla Kim

Karla is a senior at Hunter College High School in New York and a mentee of the writing program, Girls Write Now. She slept in her mother's womb the day she was supposed to be born, so naps have naturally become her specialty. Her interests include writing, singing, blogilates, sriracha sauce, Korean cuisine, playing the guitar and frozen yogurt dates with friends. Writing has always been her passion and escape since elementary school as a way for her to express things she could never outright say to others or even to herself. Writing for her is not just a release or a way to grow but also a time capsule, a way to capture her teen version's vision of the world with her words.
