Karsten Malige is foundational member and director of the association SyrienHilfe e.V. Since 2012 SyrienHilfe e.V. has provided humanitarian aid and emergency relief in Syria with its own network of Syrian volunteers, since early 2014 also in Lebanon and Turkey; focal points of the association are self-help projects. Karsten Malige is a freelance geodesist and runs an engineering office for surveying and geo-information in southern Germany in second generation.
