Social and Environmental Justice Advocate

For the past 12 years I have lived and worked in the nonprofit world. My career has spanned rural health care advocacy in Atlanta and Washington, DC, to speaking up about air quality issues at Environmental Protection Agency public comment sessions. Although I am not a gardener by any stretch of the imagination, in less than two years time I turned around an overlooked arboretum and circa 1852 home into a vibrant part of the Milledgeville community. I care deeply about social and environment justice and strong communities. My approach to work is principled, innovative, inclusive, and results driven. Readers can learn more about my ideas at ruralandprogressive.org In July 2016 I decided to relocate with my husband when his company opens a new facility in Johns Creek, Georgia in the Atlanta area. My job search focuses primarily on a leadership role of some sort in a nonprofit organization, but I am also looking carefully at unique private sector options. In the interim I am working on two consulting projects, one that involves outdoor recreation and the other social justice based art.
