Founder and Editor, PostpartumProgress.com

Katherine Stone is a nationally-recognized, award-winning advocate for women with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. After suffering a devastating bout of postpartum OCD/anxiety in 2001, she was inspired to take action to help other new mothers. In 2004, Katherine Stone created the blog Postpartum Progress, now the most widely-read blog in the United States on postpartum depression (PPD), postpartum anxiety, postpartum OCD and postpartum psychosis and other mental illnesses related to pregnancy and childbirth. It features daily news and commentary, lists of support groups, links to treatment programs, and stories from moms and fellow sufferers. It also has the only public photo album displaying pictures of moms who have survived perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, created to combat the negative images of postpartum depression shown in the media and to serve as a symbol of hope.

Katherine Stone serves on the boards of Postpartum Support International and the Perinatal Depression Information Network. She has been featured in Newsweek, WebMD the Magazine, Esperanza, Time’s Health.com and Cookie.

Katherine Stone lives in the Atlanta area with her husband and two children.
