Kathleen Anderson

Kathleen Anderson is a Professor of English at Palm Beach Atlantic University, a Jane Austen scholar, and a writer of creative nonfiction. Her co-authored book, Jane Austen’s Guide to Thrift, was published in 2013 by Berkley Books. Her essays have appeared in such diverse publications as Women's Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal, The Chronicle of Higher Education, European Romantic Review, Persuasions: The Jane Austen Journal, Christianity Today, Renascence, Sensibilities, Commonweal, Teen Magazine, and the collection, Unrooted Childhoods: Memoirs of Growing Up Global. She is currently completing a scholarly study of Austen. Anderson earned her Ph.D. from the University of Iowa and her A.B. from Harvard University, and has taught at the university level for nearly twenty-five years.
