Kathleen Nye Flynn is currently a reporter for the Los Angeles Downtown News, which covers Los Angeles' burgeoning urban core. Her beats are business and development, with a focus on the homeless population on skid row, multi-billion dollar development projects and the occasional fashion show. She has written for The Los Angeles Times, the San Diego Tribune, the Daily Breeze and the Berkeley Daily Planet, covering local politics, disasters, rallies and culture. She has also worked at Architectural Digest magazine.

Kathleen graduated from the University of Southern California, where she majored in Political Science and Print Journalism and spent her time exploring the Hollywood scene and adjusting to life in Los Angeles after growing up in Berkeley. She lives in L.A.’s Los Feliz village with her boyfriend, Steven Barrie-Anthony.
