Kathryn C. Brown is senior vice president of Public Policy Development and Corporate Responsibility. She has led Verizon's global corporate responsibility initiatives and public policy development since joining the company in June 2002. She is responsible for Verizon’s Shared Success initiative, which aligns the company’s business priorities with pressing social issues to create broad social value in education, energy management, health care, and sustainability.

Ms. Brown also oversees the activities of the Verizon Foundation, with programs such as the Verizon Thinkfinity.org education website. The foundation issued $66 million in grants in 2011 and focuses on domestic violence prevention, education, health care and sustainability. Ms. Brown also initiatives that further Internet safety and accessibility.
