Kamilah Collins is passionate about building community and connecting people. Founder of Collins Collaborations, a Dallas-based consulting group, specializing in strategic planning and workshop facilitation. Collins is a global thought-leader, traveling to places like India, South Africa, Cuba, and Brazil to engage in cultural exchange and dialogue. She offers keen insights concerning social justice, education, community development, and advocates for equity and diversity. Her collaborative work with Dallas Faces Race, a Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action, brought hundreds of nonprofit organizations together to begin racial equity capacity building in the Dallas area. Collins is an expert in communication, strategic alliances, and organizational development. She offers solutions and expertise at workshops, national conferences, and published editorials. She is a member of the Texas Diversity Council, serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy, the Dallas Dinner Table leadership team, and as a trainer with Border Crossers. Previous affiliations include the National Urban League of Young Professionals, Leadership Women, Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, Urban League of Greater Dallas, and the African American Museum of Dallas. Kamilah is dedicated to developing partnerships and breaking down systemic barriers.
