Kelsey Heeringa

Writer, wife and mother, culture hound.

Kelsey Heeringa is a writer who spent ten years immersing herself in unique subcultures across America. Among other things, she worked with deafblind students, volunteered with low-income youth across various states, worked on an organic farm, wrote and directed theatre, lived in a tent alongside trail crews in the White Mountains, and joined an Intentional Community. For the past five years she has made her home and travelled on the African continent, where she struggles with issues of equality and tries to keep her eyes open. She currently lives with her wife and son in South Africa.
