He is the author of the award-winning memoir The Voluntourist: A Six-Country Tale of Love, Loss, Fatherhood, Fate, and Singing Bon Jovi in Bethlehem (TheVoluntouristBook.com), and his writing credits include The New York Times, Smithsonian, National Geographic, The Washington Post, AARP The Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, and many more. He is donating his earnings from his book to the organizations where he volunteered.
