Ken Fish

Owner and president of Absolute Travel.

As the president and owner of Absolute Travel, it is Ken Fish's personal and professional goal to make clients' most fantastic travel dreams a reality. Ken knows firsthand the power a journey can instill – from a better understanding of lesser-known cultures to a better understanding of oneself – and strives to redefine the way we travel. Ken has made his passion for authentic, personalized, and culturally-focused travel a lifelong career. Upon its founding in 1989, Absolute Travel was the first US-based company to sell travel to Cambodia and Vietnam. Ken continues to have his finger on the pulse of the world’s most exotic, remote, and lesser-traveled destinations reflected by Absolute Travel’s expanded destination repertoire, which now includes Asia, South America, Africa, the South Pacific and the Middle East. Ken is considered a 21st century travel pioneer and a highly regarded ambassador for the industry.

Born and raised in New York and a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Ken settled in New York City where he began his business. He has dedicated a good portion of his adult life to travel, with well over 100 overseas trips notched on his belt since 1983. When he is not exploring the world, Ken unpacks his suitcase in New York City, where he lives with his wife, Kyoko, and two children, Kazumi and Keizo.
