Before founding the Becket Fund in 1994, Hasson was an attorney at Williams & Connolly in Washington, D.C., where he focused on religious liberty litigation. From 1986 to 1987, he served in the Office of Legal Counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice, advising the White House and cabinet departments on church-state relations and other constitutional issues under then-Deputy Assistant Attorney General Samuel Alito. After graduating magna cum laude from Notre Dame Law School, he joined Kirkland & Ellis as an Associate. Hasson also earned two Bachelors degrees in Theology and Economics and a Masters degree in Theology from Notre Dame. Hasson also serves on the Board of Directors for the Bible Literacy Project. Bar Memberships: District of Columbia; Illinois; United States Supreme Court; United States Courts of Appeals for the First, Third, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth and Tenth Circuits.
