As a change management strategist, speaker, and blogger, Kim helps leaders in the nonprofit industry maximize the opportunities presented by change. Kim's 20 year career consists of various leadership roles in times of transition. In 2002, she launched Kim Williams Consulting, formerly Lifeworks Development Group to help leaders and their agencies survive and thrive in times of change process.

Kim began her career at Wheatland Community Learning Center, a small start-up agency created by HUD to transition families out of poverty. After leaving WCLC, she helped to successfully launch the Texas Teaching Fellows for The New Teacher Project. Kim left TTF to accept a position as Director of Community Programs for Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. She led the consolidation of 5 school-based outreach programs into one Community Programs department. Her team served approximately 14,000 girls across 20 counties supported by 50 staff members and a $1.5 million dollar budget. During her seven-year tenure, she survived three CEO changes and was recruited to the council merger committee which set the strategy for her council's merger with two neighboring councils.

In 2011, she was named CEO of Interfaith Housing Coalition. Under her leadership, Interfaith has become an outcomes leader producing graduates that earn more, save more, and remain self-sufficient longer than any other transitional housing provider in Dallas. Kim is currently leading the agency in the expansion of their impact through their recent launch of a $10 million capital campaign. All of these experiences give her unique insight into how people respond to change and how best to capitalize on it.

Kim has a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of North Texas and lives just outside of Dallas with her husband, Rawleigh, and their three children.
