Kitty Eisele is a writer, editor and producer for NPR, where she's written, most recently, about the White House tailor; the nation's panda; the history of the US Capitol; and a family ancestor who was a famed exorcist.

She is an Emmy Award-winning producer of The Civil War series with Ken Burns, and has contributed to numerous radio and film documentaries on political and cultural figures.

She teaches journalism at Georgetown University, part of a setting for novel Hope Diamond's Washington, which is almost complete.

Kitty is currently NPR's On-Air Fundraising Producer, part of an initiative to bring greater resources and creativity to fundraising done by the 775 stations that carry NPR programming. So -- if you love public radio, let her know. She's looking for creative contributions!
