Kristie Rivers, MD, FAAP, is an Attending Physician, Assistant Medical Director of the Pediatric Hospitalist Program, and Director of Pediatric Medical Education at a children’s hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In her medical practice, she cares for hospitalized children and also teaches pediatric residents and medical students. At Bundoo, Kristie is an original Bundoo Pediatrician that has been involved with the site, helping develop its editorial direction since before its launch. Kristie received her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she was Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She received her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. She completed residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida where she served as Chief Resident. Kristie enjoys educating moms about infant care and breastfeeding, as well as planning educational activities for other pediatricians. When not busy with her medical commitments, she and her husband can be found running after their two rambunctious young boys
