Doctoral Candidate in Sociology of Education at NYU
Anindya Kundu is a PhD Candidate in the Sociology of Education program at NYU. He is an Adjunct Professor of the course, "American Dilemmas: Race, Inequality, and the Unfulfilled Promise of Public Education." The course was designed and previously taught by his mentor, Dr. Pedro Noguera. Anindya studies the concept of agency, and how disadvantaged students navigate obstacles to beat the odds against them. He is the author of the forthcoming book, "Achieving Agency: Regaining Collective Responsibilities for All Students to Succed," (Rowman and Littlefield, 2017).
