Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux is a French-born American entrepreneur. She is the co-founder of space technology company Escape Dynamics which was featured on the cover of Aviation Week magazine, in Scientific American magazine as a “World Changing Idea” that could enable microwave-powered spaceplanes and aircraft-like operations to orbit, and as one of the top 10 Most innovative Space Companies of 2015 by Fast Company. Ms. Garriott de Cayeux serves as a Truman National Security Fellow, a board member of the National Museum of Mathematics, and is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Economic Club of New York. She started her career in the Investment Banking division of Goldman Sachs, held senior investment roles at TPG-Axon and Renaissance Technologies and also founded her own investment firm. An alumna from Harvard Business School and ESSEC, France, she became in 2011 the youngest person to have completed neutral buoyancy training - a requirement for ISS astronauts preparing for EVA missions – which she completed in Star City, Russia.
