Larissa Heron

High school sophomore and participant in Girls Write Now

My name is Larissa Heron and I am a sophomore at the School of the Future. I come from midtown Manhattan, where I have lived since I was born, aside for three years of my childhood which were spent in the boondocks of Massachusetts. I have been published in Theater Development Fund’s Play by Play, the Clinton Chronicle, Future Times, The Indypendent, and the GWN blog and anthology. I write poetry, fiction, journalism and memoir non-fiction. I enjoy reading and have been a member of the Youth Justice Board for about six months. I enjoy global history as well as current events that effect our lives today. I have been a mentee for two years at Girls Write Now.
