Lata K. McGinn, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Psychology, Director of the Doctoral Clinical Program, and Director of the University-based Cognitive Behavior Therapy Training Program for Anxiety and Depression at Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Her research is on vulnerability and prevention of anxiety and mood disorders. She examines the effects of environmental and cognitive styles on anxiety and depression and has developed an intervention to prevent the development of depression which has been tested in a NIH-funded research study. Dr. McGinn is president of the International Association of Cognitive Psychotherapy and serves on the boards of the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.
