Laura K. Chapin is a Democratic communications consultant based in Denver, Colorado. She served as Deputy Communications Director for Gov. Bill Ritter's 2006 campaign, and as a speechwriter/media relations officer on his staff, including the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Before moving to God's Country in late 2005, she spent more than a decade advocating for progressive causes and Members of Congress in Washington, DC.

She also thinks Texas would have beaten Alabama easily in the BCS National Championship game had Colt McCoy not been injured.
