Laura Collins Lyster-Mensh, M.S. is a consultant, podcaster, writer and activist living in Virginia. <br /> <br /> She is the author of <em>><a href=>The Specific Scent of Snakes</em></a>, <em>><a href=>The Auldton Laughing Club</em>, <em><a href=>Eating With Your Anorexic</em></a>, and <em>><a href=>Throwing Starfish Across the Sea</em></a>.< (with co-author Charlotte Bevan).<br /> <br /> Her work has appeared in <em>Skirt!, Adoptive Parenting</em>, the <em>Red River Review, The Potomac Review </em>and for many years as a columnist at the <em>Fauquier Times-Democrat</em> in her “Soap Box” column.
