Laura Durnell's award-winning fiction has appeared in Fifth Wednesday Journal, The Antigonish Review, Room, JEF (Journal of Experimental Fiction), and ACM (Another Chicago Magazine). Women's Media Center, Trivia: Voices of Feminism, Chicago Review, Book, and the Times of Northwest Indiana have published her commentary, book reviews, and journalism. Currently, she serves as an assistant editor for Narrative and teaches part-time at DePaul University. Her classes include college writing and liberal arts seminars on female confessional writers. She also tutors writing at Wilbur Wright College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago.,
