Priestess, Performer, USC Religious Studies Lecturer

Laurie Lovekraft is a priestess, performer, and writer. For the past 30 years has studied Reclaiming Tradition, Wicca, Thelema, Herbalism, Tibetan Buddhism, and Feri Tradition with Gabriel Carrillo. Laurie is a guest lecturer at the University of Southern California’s Department of Religious Studies and has taught and performed around the U.S. at the Starwood Festival, PantheaCon, Code Pink Women for Peace’s Boot Camp, the Women’s Goddess Festival, the Ancient Ways Festival, Burning Man, and other events. She was profiled in the book Modern Pagans (RE/Search, 2001) and her writings have appeared in PanGaia magazine, Green Egg, and Bitch Goddess: The Spiritual Path of the Dominant Woman (Greenery Press, 1998). Laurie studied North Indian Classical vocal music with Shabda Kahn and plays doumbek, djimbe, frame drum, bodhran and guitar. She recorded with Sharon Knight, Robin Silver, Rachel Tree, and Sequoia Records’ Steve Gordon.
