Leah Lax is a feminist, LGBTQ advocate and author of Uncovered: How I Left Hasidic Life and Finally Came Home (She Writes Press, August 28, 2015). Lax has won awards in both fiction and nonfiction and her work has been included in numerous anthologies and publications, print and online--including Dame, Lilith, and Salon. Her work for stage has been reviewed in The New York Times, and Rolling Stone magazine, and has been broadcast on NPR. She has an MFA in creative writing from the University of Houston.
