Leigh Pechillo

Mother, Wife, Heart Attack Survivor, American Heart Association Volunteer, Speaker

Leigh Pechillo is a stay-at-home mom, wife and volunteer with the American Heart Association (AHA). Her involvement with AHA came about in an effort to pay it forward in appreciation for all those donations made in the past funding medical research that saved her son, born with congenital heart defects, and father, who had to undergo quadruple bypass. At the age of 44, Pechillo herself suffered a heart attack and went into sudden cardiac arrest. The CPR administered by her husband was the first link in her chain of survival. As she continues to pay it forward, she helps to inspire, educate, advocate and raise funds in the hopes of saving more lives.
